President urges Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to ensure protection of workers’ rights

Dr. Arif Alvi – the President of Pakistan – has urged the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to ensure the protection of workers’ rights.

According to the media reports, President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed his views while addressing an event of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad today (Thursday, November 30). He emphasized the importance of honesty, ethics, and compassion in trade and business.

On the occasion, the President said that women should also be encouraged and involved in businesses, stressing responsibility rests with the society to protect them from harassment. He called upon the businessmen to prioritize environmental protection.

President Dr. Arif Alvi further stated that the affluent class should pay their taxes in order to deal with challenges faced by the country including those of out-of-school children and malnutrition.
