The versatile actor Adnan Siddiqui has congratulated the Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab for winning the first ever Grammy Award and said that this is a proud moment for all Pakistanis.

According to details, the Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui took to his Twitter account and showers love and praises on Arooj Aftab for being the first ever Pakistani to win a Grammy Award.

In the tweet, Adnan Siddiqui wrote, “Such a wonderful news for the industry. @arooj_aftab proves her mettle. The entire world is recognising our country’s talent. Congratulations. Proud moment for all Pakistanis #GrammyAwards”

Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab has made the history and becomes the first Pakistani to win the Grammy Award for her song “Muhabbat” in the Best Global Performance category and she was also nominated for the Best New Artist category.

Arooj Aftab, who works mainly in the minimalist, jazz and neo-Sufi idioms, has attracted massive applause with her captivating music and different singing styles in the world. She gained recognition after former US president Barack Obama included the track ‘Mohabbat’ on his 2021 summer favorites list. She is also a music producer and composer who got her training from the Berklee College of Music.
