The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said that Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has achieved a highest-ever revenue target of four billion rupees.
According to details, the Information Minister has made these remarks in a statement on social networking website Twitter on Wednesday. He said that the revenue target of Rs.4 billion is one of the highest-ever revenue earned by Pakistan’s state-owned broadcaster PTV.

The Minister for Information and Technology further stated that the state broadcaster was bankrupt when the incumbent government took its reins and they have digitalized two channels and presented business model for the Pakistan Television Corporation.
“Today PTV is among the state institutions that have been into profit-making institutions,” Fawad Chaudhry added.
It is to be mention here that in 2021, a cabinet committee removed PTV from the list of the state-owned institutions that are included in the privatization list. The cabinet committee took the decision on the request of Information Ministry.
