Sachin Tendulkar admitted to hospital

The former Indian batsman, Sachin Tendulkar has been admitted to hospital as a precautionary measure on Friday after contracting the novel Covid19 last week.

According to media reports, Sachin Tendulkar was previously quarantining at home after testing positive following mild symptoms.

In a tweet on Friday, the former Indian cricketer said, “Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone.”

It is to be mentioned here that the rising numbers of the coronavirus cases are on the peak in India in the third wave of the pandemic. The country has reported 81,466 new infections on Friday, the highest daily number in six months
