Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are romance icons, Karan Johar has claimed, adding that they both have created and represent love in our movies.
According to the media reports, the Bollywood romance drama director Karan Johar has returned with a true Bollywood-style movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. He is busy nowadays with the promotion of his new movie and the movie is currently running in theaters and has been receiving a lot of love from the audiences. The audience lauded the lead pair of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for their captivating charm and chemistry.
Karan Johar was asked about the reinvention of romance in his film during a press conference. In answer, he mentioned the on-screen coupling of Shah Rukh and Kajol. He referred to them as romance icons and thought SRK is an emotion. He said that there can never be another pairing like Shah Rukh and Kajol as they make you believe in what is happening on the screen.
The Bollywood Director said, “Shah Rukh is not a superstar, he is an emotion and he is love. The way he sings a love song and portrays a love scene; when he says ‘aur paas’, you want to completely go ‘paas’. When he says ‘main nahin aaunga’, you believe him. When he says ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai tum nahi samjhogi’, even though we don’t know what he means, we still go with the flow because Shah Rukh Khan is Shah Rukh Khan, there will never be another Shah Rukh Khan. Similarly, there will be no other pairing like Shah Rukh-Kajol.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are one of the most loved onscreen couples for their romance in the Bollywood film industry. SRK and Kajol worked together in seven films out of which four have been directed by Karan Johar which are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and My Name Is Khan.
