Shibli calls for enhancing cooperation b/w Pakistan, China in fields of media, culture

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Syed Shibli Faraz has called for enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and China in the field of film, which is one of the vital mediums to promote and project core values and cultural heritage of any society.

According to media reports, the Information Minister held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong in Islamabad on Wednesday. He emphasised on enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and China in the fields of media and culture. He also proposed training of media personnel in light of modern media concepts.

During the meeting, Senator Shibli Faraz has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is keen to expedite China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects. Minister also emphasized the need to highlight benefits of CPEC projects for the general public.

On the occasion, the Ambassador Nong Rong said that Chinese side would extend all possible cooperation for enhancing media ties.

“China has plans to invite a Pakistani media delegation to visit different cities, once the Covid19 pandemic subsides,” he said.

Nong Rong also emphasized close coordination between media of the two countries to rebut negativities regarding CPEC projects.

The Information Minister has also extended invitation to his Chinese counterpart to visit Pakistan to explore avenues for furthering cooperation in the fields of media and information.
