The Queen of the United Kingdom (UK) Elizabeth II’s husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip has passed away.
According to media reports, the news has been announced by the Buckingham Palace through a statement. the Duke of Edinburgh died at the age of 99 years.
Buckingham Palace said in the statement, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh”

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle,” the statement added.
It is to be mentioned here that Philip was the longest-serving and oldest-ever consort of the United Kingdom’s monarchy.
