Aneeq Ahmed – the Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony – has stressed the need for respect for all religions in the society.

According to the media reports, the Caretaker Religious Affairs Minister Aneeq Ahmed expressed his views regarding all religions while addressing a conference on Interfaith Harmony in Lahore today (Saturday, November 25).

Speaking on the occasion, the Caretaker Minister said that Islam teaches its followers to respect every religion. He also emphasized to promote unity among the people. He added that the government is committed to promoting interfaith harmony and protecting the rights of minorities in the country.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Ruete Hilal Committee, Abdul Khabeer Azad also highlighted Islamic teachings regarding tolerance and inter-faith harmony.
