COP28: PM to give a national statement at World Climate Action Summit today

COP28 UAE: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar – the Prime Minister of Pakistan – will give a national statement at the World Climate Action Summit, on the second day of the 28th Conference of Parties in Dubai today (Saturday, December 2).

According to the media reports, apart from the World Climate Action Summit, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Haq Kakar will also participate in the High-Level Implementation Round Table today. He will meet the Presidents of Sri Lanka and Maldives and the Prime Minister of Syria on the sidelines of the COP28. He will also meet Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has congratulated the government and the people of the United Arab Emirates on their 52nd National Day. He said in his felicitation message issued on the occasion of UAE National Day today (Saturday, December 2) that Pakistan is proud of the remarkable progress of the Emirati brothers.

The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan lauded the wisdom and sagacity of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan who laid the foundation of the UAE. He also appreciated the leadership of President Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in transforming the UAE into a global hub of trade, tourism, and technology.

PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar further stated that Pakistan will remain an enduring partner of the UAE in this exciting journey towards progress and prosperity.
