Dr. Nadeem Jan – the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Health Services – has addressed the National Ulema Conference in Islamabad today (Thursday, December 28) and has urged all segments of society to play their role in the eradication of polio from the country.

Addressing the National Ulema Conference, the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Health Services said that the government is taking all measures to ensure the eradication of polio. He requested the Ulema and religious scholars to use the Masjid and Mehrab for the noble cause.
In his remarks, the Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said it is a national issue and it has no link with any sect. He urged the media to spread awareness among the masses about the sensitivity of this very serious issue.
