The Election Commission of Pakistan has said that the scrutiny of the nomination papers filed by candidates for the next general elections is underway which will continue till Saturday.

According to the media reports, the Election Commission said that appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers for the next general elections can be submitted until the third of next month and decisions on these appeals will be made by the tenth of next month.
On January 11th, the list of applicants will be made available, and by January 12th, candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw. The general election polls are scheduled to open on February 8 and the electoral emblems will be distributed on the thirteenth of the following month.
