The government has approved provision of five hundred thousand metric tons of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the current crop year.
According to media reports, the decision has been taken by the Economic Coordination Committee has (ECC) in a meeting held in Islamabad on Wednesday with Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in the chair.
The Economic Coordination Committee gave approval to Technical Supplementary Grants for different ministries and departments. The Committee has also approved the “Policy for Regulation of NGOs/NPOs receiving Foreign Contributions-2021”, which has been designed with the aim to fostering a sense of partnership between government and non-government sectors.
The ECC has also approved 17.3 million dollars for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for payment of recurring as well as one-off liabilities in respect of Roosevelt Hotel New York, USA, as verified by the Auditor and recommended by PIA Board.
