Putting poor behind bars is not law enforcement

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has said that putting the poor behind bars is not law enforcement but placing the powerful under the law is a real execution of rules and regulations.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister has made these remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Eagle Squad at Safe City Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.

On the occasion, the Premier has urged the law enforcement department to deal politely with the poor to build a vibrant and progressive society.

Imran Khan has emphasized on taking advantage of modern technology to enhance capacity of the police force.

“Maintenance of law and order in the federal capital has great significance for image building of the country and attracting investments,” he added.
