FM Qureshi leaves for a two-day official visit to Germany

The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Makhddom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has left for Berlin on a two-day official visit to Germany today (Sunday).

According to details, the Foreign Minister, while speaking before his departure , has said that Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with Germany.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi has termed Germany as Pakistan’s most important trading partner in European Union (EU). He said that matters related to economic relations, bilateral trade, investment, defense and people to people contacts will come into discussion during the visit.

“I will apprise German leadership about regional situation, Afghan peace process, peace and security environment of South Asia,” the Foreign Minister said. He expressed confidence that the visit will be fruitful.

It is pertinent to mention here that FM Qureshi is visiting Germany on the invitation of his German counterpart Heiko Maas to hold delegation-level talks with the German leadership including the President of the German Parliament Wolfgang Schauble and other dignitaries.
