Four soldiers embraced martyrdom in North Waziristan

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that four soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in North Waziristan.

In a statement, the ISPR has said that the soldiers embraced martyrdom in Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan during an exchange of fire with terrorists who attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan. The Pakistan Army has foiled the attempt of terrorists due to the alertness and timely response of army troops.

The ISPR has said that the fleeing terrorists retaliated with fire to the security forces’ vigilant strong response which was reciprocated in a befitting manner. The terrorists having failed, fled away and as per intelligence reports, suffered heavy casualties, ISPR said.

The statement further staed that four soldiers embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly during the gun battle.

According to ISPR, the martyred soldiers were identified as Lance Havaldar Wajahat Alam , Sepoy Sajjid lnayat, Sepoy Maqbool Hayat and Sepoy Sajjid Ali. Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, ISPR added.
