Govt working on restoration of KCR to resolve travelling issue: Shiekh Rashid

The current government is working on restoration of Karachi Circular Railway to resolve the issue of travelling in the mega city, the Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said, adding that we want to remove all encroachments on the track of KCR in minimum time.

According to media reports, Sheikh Rashid has made these remarks while talking to media in Karachi on Saturday. He has said that the government also desires to lay railway track from Peshawar to Jalalabad to improve connectivity between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Railways Minister further stated that there is a plan to handover some passenger trains to private sector.

“The democratic process in the country will continue to strengthen and incumbent government will complete its constitutional term.,” he added.
