Hafeez Sheikh name shortlisted for Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan

The Federal Minister for Interior, Rana Sanaullah said that the name of the former Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh is short-listed for caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan.

According to the details, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah made these remarks while talking to a private news channel today (Sunday, August 6). He said that the names of former Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh and a retired judge of the Supreme Court are also included in the shortlist for caretaker prime minister of Pakistan.

The Federal Interior Minister said that the names of Ishaq Dar and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are not included in the shortlist. He also said that the name of the caretaker prime minister will be decided by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Rana Sanaullah further stated that if the assemblies are dissolved on August 9, then the work of constituencies should be completed by December 9. After that, there is no problem if the elections are held in February-March as well.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has given the date of dissolution of the National Assembly on August 9. It should also be noted that the term of the current National Assembly is ending on August 12 at 12 pm.
