Talks afoot for appointment of Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that consultation on the appointment of a caretaker prime minister of Pakistan is going on between Prime Minister Shehbaz Shahbaz Sharif and the leader of the opposition as per constitution.

According to the media reports, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb made these remarks regarding the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan while talking to the media at the Karachi press club today (Sunday, August 6). She said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will contest the election under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif.

While responding to a question, the Information Minister said holding elections within three months after the completion of the constitutional tenure of the government is the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan. She said the nation is still paying the price of the wrong policies of the PTI government and the incumbent government has steered the country out of economic crisis.

In a meeting with office bearers of Karachi press club during her visit to Karachi Press Club on Sunday, Marriyum Aurangzeb assured that problems of the journalistic fraternity will be resolved on a priority basis. She said the grants of press clubs were discontinued by the previous government and these would be restored, soon.
