Hamza Shahbaz released from jail, PMLN celebrates outside jail

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz was was released from jail.

According to media reports, the releasing orders of Hamza Shahbaz were issued by the accountability court’s duty judge Akmal Khan after the surety bonds deposited by the PML-N leader were verified.

The PML-N leader was released after spending 20 months in jail in relation to a money laundering investigation. He had prepared well in advance for the party leader’s release with 12 different camps set up across Lahore to welcome him.

His party has made arrangments to welcome him from Kot Lakhpat Jail and bring him back to his residence in the form of a rally. The Party workers carrying drums and showering rose petals danced and celebrated for hours outside the jail in anticipation of Hamza Shahbaz’s release.

The Vice President of Muslim League (N), Maryam Nawaz also arrived outside Kot Lakhpat Jail and she received her cousin. She also posted a selfie with Hamza Shahbaz on her Twitter account.
