Twelve development projects worth over 267 billion rupees have been approved by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) in various sectors including infrastructure, water and roads.
According to media reports, the approval has been granted during a meeting which was presided over by the Federal Minister for Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in Islamabad on Friday.
The Committee gave approval to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project costing over 13 billion rupees to improve healthcare services and also approved 10,000 kanal land acquisition for Swat Motorway phase-II for construction of about 80 km 04-lane motorway from Chakdara to Fatehpur.
The meeting also approved a Balochistan Integrated Water Resources Management and Development Project to increase the agricultural production in the province.
The ECNEC approved Basol Dam Project for Balochistan and the Nai Gaj Dam Project for District Dadu, in Sindh.
