High winds expected in southeast Pakistan due to BIPARJOY cyclone & prevented LNG ships from docking

The Federal Minister for Energy, Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan said that high winds are expected in the southeastern part of Pakistan due to the BIPARJOY cyclone.

According to the media reports, the Federal Minister for Energy Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan made these remarks while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today (Tuesday, June 13).

In his remarks, the Energy Minister said that said Cyclone BIPARJOY prevented the LNG ships from docking at the port of Pakistan. He said due to the Cyclone, it is dangerous to operate the power plants during high-velocity winds.

Khurram Dastagir Khan further stated that some plants may go offline during the Cyclone. The previous government criminally delayed the power projects which is creating hurdles in the country, he added.
