The government has announced that the Khunjerab Pass will remain open till the 16th of this month to facilitate trade between Pakistan and China.

According to the media reports, Khunjerab Pass connects the Gilgit Baltistan of Pakistan to the autonomous region of Xinjiang, China, and serves as the highest paved international border, linking both countries.
Khunjerab Pass remains closed from November to March due to extreme cold weather conditions. However, it was temporarily opened this week to facilitate trade.
