The prominent religious figure of Pakistan, Maulana Tariq Jameel has tested positive for the novel Covid19 pandemic.
The news has been announced by Maulana Tariq Jameel himself on social networking website Twitter on Sunday.
In a tweet, he said that he was not feeling well from the last few day. On getting tested for Covid19, it came positive, he said.
Maulana Tariq Jameel further stated that he has checked himself into the hospital on the doctors’ advice.
“I request you all to do remember me in your special prayers,” he added.
The Covid19 positivity rate is at 8% in Pakistan. During last 24 hours, 72 deaths recorded which brings the total number to 8,796.
Pakistan’s aggregate infections are 438,425, of which 46,692 are active cases.
