Murtaza Solangi takes notice of Journalist Fayaz Zafar arrest

Journalist Fayaz Zafar – a senior Pakistani media person from Swat – has been arrested by the police and the Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi took notice of the incident.

According to the media reports, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has taken notice of the alleged torture and arrest of Journalist Fayaz Zafar. He discussed the incident with relevant authorities and he emphasized the importance of conducting an impartial investigation into the incident.

Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi asserted that the authority of the office must not be employed to stifle the voice of journalists. He affirmed his commitment to closely monitor the progress of Fayaz Zafar’s case. He said the government firmly believes in freedom of expression and media, in accordance with the Constitution.
