The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and former Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar said that there is no problem with the Supreme Court’s decision to invalidate the Review and Judgments Act.

According to the media reports, the former made these remarks regarding the Supreme Court’s decision to invalidate the Review and Judgments Act while speaking informally to journalists in Islamabad today (Friday, August 11). He said that the Muslim League-Nawaz will decide its political and legal strategy regarding this and will consult legal experts on the matter.

The PMLN Leader further stated that the decision regarding the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be taken by the party through mutual consultation.

While talking about the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar said that there is no legal obstacle for a senator to become caretaker prime minister or caretaker minister, now neither the caretaker government can do anything nor the election commission, the elections will be held under the new census.

The former Finance Minister added that it is not written anywhere in the constitution that general elections must be held before the Senate elections.

It is pertinent to mention here that name of the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan has not been announced officially. Shehbaz Sharif and Raja Riaz didn’t announce the name till now.
