The phones of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been sent for forensic examination today (Friday, August 11).

According to the media reports, when police arrived at Imran Khan’s Lahore apartment on August 5 to arrest him after he was sentenced to a five-year disqualification and three-year prison term in the Toshakhana criminal case, they confiscated two mobile phones and a satellite phone. The data seized from the phones will aid in the filing of charges against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in a number of ongoing investigations.

The newest discovery occurred shortly after allegations that former first lady Bushra Bibi’s personal diary had slipped into the hands of law enforcement agents. According to the journal, the PTI intends to put pressure on the court, establishment, and government.

Javed Chaudhry, a TV broadcaster and journalist, claimed to have seen the diaries firsthand. It has multiple entries concerning a “Mamo” (uncle), which he believes is a reference to Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, he told a private channel.

The passages in the journal ascribed to Bushra Bibi show she used to offer “political dictation” to the PTI chairman. According to television reports, the diary described intentions to put pressure on the government, the establishment, and the courts. According to accounts, she was making choices on the PTI’s political strategy, and Khan was following her orders. Bushra Bibi had unlimited power over the former prime minister. There are plans to lock down the city, as well as discussions regarding the governor’s control.
