Fine imposes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for violation of Election Code of Conduct

Under the directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the District Monitoring Officers have been issuing notices and imposing fines on candidates and other officials concerned in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well for violation of the Election Code of Conduct.

According to the media reports, the District Monitoring Officers, while taking action against candidates, imposed an overall fine of nine hundred sixty-six thousand rupees.

Candidates in Peshawar Division were fined ninety-five thousand rupees, those in Malakand Division three hundred thousand rupees, those in Hazara Division one hundred seventy-one thousand rupees, those in Mardan Division one hundred and five thousand rupees, those in Kohat Division one hundred and fifteen thousand rupees, those in Bannu Division thirty thousand rupees, and those in Dera Ismail Khan Division one hundred and fifty thousand rupees for violating the Election Code of Conduct.
