Pakistan and China should strengthen communication and coordination on Afghan issue to support a stable power transition in Afghanistan and peace in the region.

This was stated by the Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi in a press release issued by Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that Pakistan and China should also support Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism, to prevent the country from becoming a hotbed for terrorism again.

The Chinese Foreign Minister further stated that the embassies of China and Pakistan in Kabul are still functioning normally, and the two sides should communicate to the Taliban to ensure the safety of the personnel of both countries.
