Pakistan Elections 2024: The Election Commission of Pakistan has said that a total of twenty-eight thousand six hundred twenty-six candidates have filed nomination papers to contest elections at the national and four provincial assemblies’ constituencies.

According to Election Commission Pakistan, out of twenty-eight thousand six hundred twenty-six candidates, thirteen thousand eight hundred twenty-three candidates filed nominations from Punjab, six thousand four hundred ninety-eight submitted nomination papers from Sindh, five thousand two hundred seventy-eight from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two thousand six hundred sixty-nine from Balochistan while three hundred and fifty-eight candidates have filed nomination papers from federal capital Islamabad.

Preparations for the upcoming Pakistan Elections 2024 are intensifying politically, and this includes reviewing the nomination papers that candidates have submitted. This process will last through Saturday.

In the interim, nomination papers may be appealed against the acceptance or rejection of the papers up to January 3rd. Decisions regarding these appeals will be rendered by January 10th. applicants will be able to withdraw by January 12th, when the list of applicants is revealed on January 11th.
