Pakistan-Iran Conflict: Ambassador Mudassar Tipu said that Pakistan has always stood by Iran in all respects.

According to the media reports, Pakistani Ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu expressed his views regarding the Pakistan-Iran Conflict in a statement issued today (Friday, January 19). He said that cooperation and mutual trust between the two brotherly countries are important for peace and stability in the complex regional environment.

Ambassador Mudassar Tipu further stated that Pakistan is committed to its values ​​of promoting peace, stability, and development.

On the other hand, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres urged Pakistan and Iran to de-escalate and resolve all their issues peacefully. He expressed deep concern over the current tensions between Pakistan and Iran and asked both sides to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any further escalation.

The United Nations Secretary-General also underlined that all security concerns between the two countries must be addressed by peaceful means by the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and good neighborly relations.

It is pertinent to mention here that after the violation of airspace by Iran, Pakistan recalled its ambassador from Tehran while ordering the Iranian ambassador to leave the country. After that, Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu reached Islamabad yesterday (Thursday, January 18).
