Pakistan keen to expand military, defence cooperation with Jordan - ET

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Nadeem Raza has said that Pakistan is keen to expand its existing bilateral military to military cooperation with Jordan.

According to media reports, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee is on an official visit to Jordan. He called on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Jordanian Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity.

On the occasion, General Nadeem Raza has deliberated upon various areas of interest including security, defense cooperation and prevailing regional situation.

During the meeting, both the leaders have dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military engagements between the two countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties.

Jordan has acknowledged and appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed forces and their sacrifices in the war on terrorism.

Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity has awarded Nadeem Raza with Jordan’s highest military award the ‘Order of Military Merit of the First Grade’ in recognition of his efforts to further promote bilateral relation.
