A historic development package has been approved by the Federal Government for Gilgit Baltistan on Tuesday.
According to media reports, the development package was approved at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Imran Khan, after testing negative for the novel coronavirus pandemic, in Islamabad.
The meeting was apprised that the Package envisaging development schemes in various sectors will usher in a new era of development in the region. The meeting was told that the package will not only address problems of the area but also provide immense job opportunities to the youth.

The Premier Imran Khan has said on the occasion that the Gilgit Baltistan has lot of tourism potential and it should be utilized.
The Prime Minister has said that the development of Gilgit is one of the top priorities of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government.
Imran Khan has also directed the Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid to pay special attention to the environmental protection and promotion of tourism.
