Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif launched the Pakistan Code and Digital Repository of Federal Laws Mobile App and website in Islamabad today (Tuesday, August 8).

Addressing the ceremony of the Pakistan Code and Digital Repository of Federal Laws Mobile App and website, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that this will help the public easily access all types of federal laws.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also launched a health insurance card scheme for working journalists and artists. He termed the insurance scheme a revolutionary initiative in the field of journalism. He said it is the first time that a health insurance scheme has been initiated for working journalists and artists.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also announced the creation of a special fund through which journalists killed in the line of duty will be compensated with four million rupees each. He stated that the decision was made after consultations with the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb.

According to the Prime Minister, this is just the beginning, and the amount will be increased as resources increase. He stated that he has never complained about any negative media coverage of him. He did, however, emphasize the need for criticism when it is founded on facts.

Under the Health insurance card scheme, journalists and artists will be able to get world-class health facilities free of charge in 1200 hospitals across the country with annual corporate health insurance worth 1.5 million rupees.

In her remarks, Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said the launch of a health insurance scheme for working journalists and artists is the realization of the vision of the Prime Minister.
