Premier vows to address Pakistani business community problems

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar – the Caretaker Prime Minister – has assured to try to address the problems of the Pakistani business community including those relating to power and gas. 

According to the media reports, the caretaker Prime Minister expressed his views while talking to prominent entrepreneurs in Karachi today (Wednesday, August 23). He acknowledged the contributions of the businessmen saying they are the engine of the economy and agents of economic sustenance. He said that given our limited mandate with regard to assisting the electoral process, we will try to do whatever is possible to facilitate the Pakistani business community.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, who spoke at the event, urged the businesspeople to offer specific recommendations for reviving the economy. According to him, a mechanism will be created following discussions with business owners regarding the practical measures the caretaker government may do during its brief tenure, and if possible, we will also leave a roadmap for the succeeding administration. He stated that a smooth transition is what we are working toward.

We can start the process of reforming and enhancing the nation’s economy by working together, according to the Caretaker Premier. He was certain that together, we would change for the better. According to him, the role of the government is to assist businesses and then tax them so that the funds can be used to improve the lives of the underprivileged.  Additionally, he urged the business sector to adopt best practices in order to improve Pakistan’s image abroad. Industrialization is impossible without securing a steady supply of affordable electricity, as caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar understood. He claimed that because Pakistan is endowed with abundant natural resources, there is no cause for hopelessness.
