Vaani was born on August 23, 1988, in Delhi, India, to a Punjabi Hindu family. Her father Shiv Kapoor owns a company that exports furniture, and her mother Dimpy Kapoor is a former teacher who now works in marketing. She received her education at Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, North West Delhi. She started working at the ITC Hotel after earning a bachelor’s degree in tourism studies from the Indira Gandhi National Open University in Maidan Garhi. Subsequently, she finished an internship with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur, Rajasthan. She signed contracts with Elite Model Management to work as a model.
