Proposed CM Ali Amin Gandapur to lead a peaceful protest in Peshawar

The PTI Leader and proposed Chief Minister (CM) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur has decided to stage a massive peaceful protest in Peshawar today (Saturday, February 17) against the alleged “rigging” in the general elections 2024 as he vowed to continue the legal fight.

According to the media reports, Ali Amin Gandapur, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and proposed CM for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after his win in the NA-44 (Dera Ismail Khan-I) and PK-113 constituencies, shared the party plans during his first-ever meeting to consult his fellow newly-elected lawmakers and former party candidates as well as other PTI leaders from the provincial capital about various political issues.

The PTI leadership decided at the meeting to hold a protest march at the Ring Road on Saturday at 2:00 PM in opposition to the suspected rigging in Peshawar. A day prior, Gandapur had arrived in Peshawar and met for the first time in the speaker’s residence with the PTI leaders from the capital. In addition, KP Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Gandapur visited him after his father’s recent passing to offer their condolences.

In addition to them, the party extended an invitation to the eight PTI candidates who did not win seats in the general elections on February 8 to meet with the nominee chief minister. Among them were Taimur Jhagra, Ali Zaman, Arbab Jahandad, Mehmood Jan, Kamran Bangash, Hamid ul Haq, Mohammad Asim Khan, and Sajid Nawaz.
