PTA reduces iPhones registration fees

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reduced the registration fees for older iPhones.

According to the media reports, the PTA reduced the registration fees for older Apple iPhones today (Wednesday, August 23) following the Federal Board of Revenue’s announcement. A reduction in registration fees for two categories, including those based on passports and CNICs, was announced by the PTA.

According to the PTA, the cost to register an iPhone 8 with a passport has been adjusted to Rs38,922, but the same model now costs Rs48,314 to register with a CNIC. Similar to this, the registration fee for the iPhone 8 Plus has increased to Rs. 40,951 when using a passport and to Rs. 50,546 when using a CNIC.

The FBR’s most recent amendments have resulted in a variety of changes, including these adjustments in registration fees, which will eventually affect how iPhone owners register their devices in Pakistan.
