Sherry Rehman – the Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Senator – said that the Punjab Police is targeting the People’s Party.
According to the media reports, Pakistan Peoples Party Vice President and Senator Sherry Rehman made these remarks regarding the Punjab Police in a statement issued today (Monday, January 29). She said that the arrest of PPP representatives in NA-127 Lahore is condemnable. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is contesting elections from this constituency.

Sherry Rehman further stated that a few days ago, our election office was attacked with petrol bombs and the Punjab Police is arresting our representatives and supporters. Shehzad and Shehbaz, who joined the People’s Party, were arrested by the police.
Khadija Parveen, who joined the PPP from PML-N, was also arrested by the Punjab Police yesterday, the Vice President of the Party said, adding that Shahzad, Shahbaz, and Khadija Parveen should be released immediately, we demand the Election Commission to take notice of police brutality in Punjab.
