Sri Lanka satisfied with steps taken by Pakistan govt in Sialkot incident

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of Sri Lankan citizen Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot.

According to media reports, the Information Minister has held a meeting with Sri Lankan High Commissioner Mohan Wijewickrama who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has apprised the Sri Lankan High Commissioner about the steps taken by the Pakistan government after the Sialkot tragic incident.

The Information Minister further stated that the Sialkot incident has been condemned across the country and all the people involved in the incident have been arrested.

In his remarks, the High Commissioner Mohan Wijewickrama has said that they are satisfied with the steps taken by the Pakistan government after the incident. He said the bilateral relations will not be affected by the incident.
