The President of the nation, Dr Arif Alvi has said that the world recognizes the successes achieved by Pakistan regarding Covid-19 containment and massive plantation of trees.
According to media reports, the President has expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in connection with Monsoon Tree Plantation in Islamabad on Saturday.
On the occasion, Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan is reckoned amongst the countries most affected by global warming. He has urged the youth to play their role in making Pakistan Clean and Green.
The President further stated that the billion tree tsunami project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was launched not for the sake of votes but to protect our future generations.
President Alvi also expressed his pleasure over increased number of tourists visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.
“There is a need to create awareness amongst people to keep these picturesque places neat and tidy,” he added.
