Dasu Dam will reduce inflation and promote industrialization in Pakistan: PM Imran Khan

The Prime Minister Imran Khan has reviewed the construction work of Dasu Dam project and discussed it with foreign engineers on Friday.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister has said that Dasu Dam will generate low-cost clean energy. He said that this Dam will help reduce inflation and promote industrialization in Pakistan.

Imran Khan further stated that industrialization will greatly contribute to progress of the country through wealth creation. He said hydropower generation should have been given priority to produce cheap electricity.

The Premier has said that costly electricity causes inflation. He said he would appreciate the workers and consultants working on this complex project.

According to media reports, the phase one of the project will be completed by 2025, which will add two thousand one hundred sixty megawatts of electricity to the national grid.

However, this capacity will increase to four thousand three hundred twenty megawatts with the completion of its second phase by 2029.
