First case of Covid variant XE reported in India

The first case of new variant of the novel Coronavirus XE has been reported in Mumbai, India.

According to media reports, the British media earlier reported that 637 cases of the new Corona XE have been reported in the United Kingdom.

The British Health Agency said that this new XE variant of Coronavirus moves 9.8% faster than other variants. The government statistics said that 637 cases of XE were reported till March 22. As of March 16, its growth was 9.8% higher than BA.2, according to the UK Health Security Agency.

The death toll from Covid has reached its highest level in England and Wales since February. 780 deaths occurred in England and Wales in the week ending March 25. The death toll is 14 percent higher than last week.
