The Federal Minister for Interior, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that the government has started a campaign against hoarding of dollars.

According to media reports, the Interior Minister has made these remarks while addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that eighty-eight people have been arrested as part of this drive. He said we have also ordered to initiate audit inquiry against five mega exchange companies in this regard.

The Interior Minister further stated that to deal with the foreign funding, action will be taken against those NGOs who are operating under covert services.

While answering a question, the Minister has said that Pakistan is going through a crucial time since its existence.

“Peace in Afghanistan is important for Pakistan,” he added.
