Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the release of the last financial tranche of 1.1 billion dollars by the International Monetary Fund (IMF)  for Pakistan.

According to the details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his views in a statement issued today (Tuesday, April 30). He said that this installment worth one point one billion dollars will bring more economic stability to Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif further stated that the agreement with IMF proved crucial in preventing Pakistan from default during the sixteen months of his tenure in the last government. He said the tough decisions taken for the economic security of Pakistan are yielding positive results now in the form of economic stability.

According to Shehbaz Sharif, the administration is working hard to boost the nation’s economy and promote development. As he put it, getting a loan does not make us successful; that will come from paying it off. He expressed optimism that if we keep moving in the correct route, the nation will break free from its debt cycle and usher in a wealthy new era. He expressed gratitude to the IMF for helping Pakistan during its dark days.

It is pertinent to mention here that the final tranche of 1.1 billion dollars has been approved by the International Monetary Fund for Pakistan under the Stand-By Arrangement. The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has allowed for immediate disbursement of the final tranche of 1.1 billion dollars for Pakistan, bringing total disbursements under the arrangement to about three billion dollars.
