Pak-Saudi relations and economic ties have entered a new era with bilateral trade volume poised for a significant increase due to steps taken in this regard.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif while talking to the Saudi Minister for Commerce Majid al Kasabi who called on him in Riyadh today (Monday, April 29), on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting. He said that the Special Investment Facilitation Council of Pakistan is fully active in promoting foreign investment and facilitating investors.

During the meeting, Saudi Minister for Commerce Majid al Kasabi said Pakistan is Saudi Arabia’s priority for investment and trade as per the directives of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman. He said regarding Pak-Saudi relations and economic ties that the targets are being set to increase bilateral economic and trade relations during the next one to one and a half years.

Majid al Kasabi further stated that a delegation of the Saudi business community will visit Pakistan soon. He also acknowledged the role of Pakistanis in the development and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and emphasized inculcating the sentiments of Saudi-Pak friendship among the youth and new generation of both countries.
