Barriers were erected on the roads leading to Zaman Park in Lahore after the decision of Islamabad Sessions Court to sentence PTI Chairman Imran Khan to 3 years imprisonment and after he is arrested in the Toshakhana case.

According to the media reports, the police have parked their vehicles on the roads in Lahore. PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been sentenced to 3 years in prison in the Toshakhana case.

The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan has been arrested from Lahore after the decision of Islamabad Sessions Court in the Toshakhana case today (Saturday, August 5).

The media reports said that the possibility of the PTI Chairman being transferred to Kot Lakhpat before being taken to Islamabad. The additional personnel have been deployed by the police at various nooks and crannies in the Federal Capital Islamabad. The police also prepared lists of the workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf active in the Federal Capital. There is a possibility of cracking down on the workers in case of possible protests.

Earlier, the Sessions Court sentenced the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Chairman to three years imprisonment in the Toshakhana case. A hearing was held on the admissibility of the Toshakhana case in the Sessions Court.

In his ruling, Judge Humayun Dilawar stated that in the Toshakhana case, the allegations against Chairman PTI are proven, as is the charge of revealing fictitious assets against him. He stated that Chairman PTI has been sentenced to three years in prison and that arrest warrants have been issued for him. He stated that a fine of one lakh rupees has been levied on Chairman PTI and that the motion for admission has been denied.
