Israel-Gaza War: Raja Pervez Ashraf – the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan – has said that genocide, massacre, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza and adjoining areas is condemnable and reprehensible.

According to the media reports, Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed his views regarding the Israel-Gaza war during his visit to the Embassy of Palestine in Islamabad today (Friday, October 20).

During the meeting, the National Assembly Speaker said that the world must not be a silent spectator in this darkest hour of human history, urging it to come forward immediately and play its due role not only in stopping the mayhem and barbarity of Zionist forces but in resolution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the UN Security Council and OIC Resolutions.

The Speaker vowed steadfast support for the Palestinian cause during his meeting with Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Jawad Rabei. He condemned the “double standards displayed by human rights champions regarding Israeli aggression.” He also expressed tremendous appreciation for the Palestinian people’s fortitude and sacrifices, including children who are resolutely battling tyranny with resolve and an unyielding spirit.

On this occasion, Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Jawad Rabei thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf for visiting the Embassy of Palestine and extending unwavering support to Palestine in these disturbing times.  He said the sentiments of the Pakistani people and its leadership have imparted bravery and courage to each Palestinian.
