The outgoing Federal Minister for Water Resources Syed Khursheed Shah inaugurated the rehabilitation of the 969-MW Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project near Muzaffarabad today (Thursday, August 10).
According to the media reports, Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project has resumed electricity generation after the completion of restoration work in the tail race tunnel.

On this occasion, the outgoing Minister for Water Resources Syed Khursheed Shah also inspected the tunnel and lauded the efforts made by WAPDA, the project team, the consultants, and the contractors for the resumption of electricity generation from the project.
The Minister for Water Resources Syed Khursheed Shah Shah also announced the regularization of contract employees of the project.
