Dr. Shamshad Akhtar has reaffirmed the commitment to successfully completing the IMF Program for sound economic governance.
According to the media reports, Caretaker Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar made her remarks regarding the IMF Program while talking to the Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad on Thursday. She highlighted the importance of economic reforms taken by the government and said that these reforms will play a valuable role in revitalizing the national economy.

Caretaker Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar expressed gratitude for China’s invaluable support and assistance to Pakistan in various sectors.
In his remarks, the Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong assured the continuation of Chinese support to Pakistan and praised the efforts of the government towards the revival of the economy.
Matters pertaining to the progress of CPEC projects and their strategic significance were also discussed in the meeting. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to further strengthen the multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and China in order to enhance economic prosperity and foster development.
