Pakistan Special Olympics team and administration received appreciation from President Dr. Arif Alvi and First Lady Begum Samina Alvi for winning medals in the Berlin games.

According to the media reports, the Special Olympics team and administration called on President Dr. Arif Alvi and Begum Samina Alvi in Islamabad today (Tuesday, August 22). President and First Lady have lauded and felicitated the entire team and administration of the Pakistan Special Olympics for winning medals in the Berlin games. They have performed extra ordinary in the Berlin Games and won several medals for Pakistan.

On this occasion, President Alvi said that the entire Special Olympics team showed great talent in the field and raised the name of the country which is a matter of pride for the nation. He lauded people with mental disabilities for their participation in sports.

Dr. Arif Alvi underscored the need to increase the inclusion of persons with disabilities in positive activities. He said special persons should be given a chance to make their name in health, education, employment, and sports. He also stressed the provision of jobs to special people according to their skills and abilities.
